Hello,
I seem to be unable to use the device tracker that is created through the ping integration in the UI with the person integration. I can choose it from the drop down menu., when I do the person disappear in the automation UI. I tried on two instances of home assistant with no luck. Anyone else is having the same issue?

Are you using this Ping Integration: Ping (ICMP) - Home Assistant?
I am running the latest version of home assistant on a vmware. I am using the official ping integrations. It works perfectly, I even have guest profiles based on the ping integration and ip reservation on my router. The device tracker entity indicate when am home or away. The issue is I can’t use the ping device trackers in my person entity. I can add it but then my person entity diapers when I want to select it in automations
