With the new ping integration - would it be possible please to have two types of ping - one could be every 5 minutes (e.g. if just checking server is connected) and another could be say every 10 seconds - e.g. if checking for presence of a device/person?

Disable polling of the sensors and write an automation to update the sensors using the homeassistant.update_entity service whenever you want.
