Could you give me some ideas on how you visualize ping times in your instances ?

I don’t use Home Assistant for ping times. But for me, the best display is still the good old Smokeping. It combines the most relevant information on one chart and gives you a good overview of the volatility and outliers of the times.
Look into the Grafana addon.
There should be many guides available on the net for how it can be used to show data.
