I’m a bit confused, my PIR sensors has a binary and a normal “motion” sensor but for some reason only the normal (0 => 8) seam to trigger automations.
Can someone explain this and which one to use for best reliability?

Can you not create a template sensor using the “0” and “8” values?
Yeah but HA do that automatically from some version.
