I’ve seen how to create a custom sentence that has variables that can later be used in the action. But from what I’ve seen, I have to hard coded the list of possible values.
But I want to be able to tell my VPE “Play {source}”. Source can be any source known to Music Assistant. But I don’t want to have to update the sentence every time I add a new source to or delete a source from Music Assistant.
Is there a way to automate this process that I’m just not seeing from my research so far?
The music assistant page literally has a blueprint for this. (someone have the link? I’m mobile)

Thanks guys. I’ve looked through blueprints before but never found one that really suited my needs so I haven’t looked in a while. I’ll check it out.
Just tried the local assistant blueprint and was surprised how quickly I was able to get it up and running. Curious if anyone knows if there’s a way to pause/stop the music using the VPE?
That’s already part of the media_player integration built-in intents.
@Didgeridrew thank you so much! I had to manually add the area to my soundbar airplay entity for some reason, but after setting that and exposing the entity to assist it worked like a charm. Much appreciated.
