Play Spotify on Denon with Google Home

Hi,
i have a Denon AVR-X1400H , a Google Home and a Raspberry Pi 3 b+ with Hassio.
Can i use the command “Ok Google, play spotify on Denon” or something like this?

Because i have a very good sound with Denon

Thank you very much

I did it the easy way, I bought a chromecast audio and hooked it up to my Denon receiver. When the status of my chromecast changes to ‘playing’ HA turns on my receiver and sets it to the right input. In google home I have set the chromecast audio as the default speaker.
This way you can use it for more then spotify, f.e. tunein radio stations.

Did you already try the official Heos integration for Google Home?

Wow, easy  but this is what i want!

Is easy to set HA turns on my Denon? Is the classic Denon HA integration, right?

Thank you!

Yes, but i don’t have HEOS speakers :frowning: only the Denon AVR

I do all the above with my 15 year old (read: not smart) Onkyo receiver by using a Broadlink RM3 mini IR transceiver and a Google ChromeCast Audio. My receiver gets switched on / off and to the correct input if either the ChromeCast Audio starts/stops playing or if my smart TV turns on/off. I also have conditions that prevent the receiver being turned off if the ChromeCast stops but the TV gets turned on. In that case it simply changes input to suit. It works fantastically.

I have a Logitech harmony smart control but you can also do it with the Denon integration. That is, it works with my AVR-X1000.

Thank you

I try with integration and the Chromecast audio,
thanks

The X1400H has Heos integrated, guess what the H stands for
You just have to set up a Heos account (in AVR settings) and connect the AVR with Google Home.

Thank you
But with this solution maybe i can use the Denon X3000, because i have two Denon  in this case i can use the X1400H to my parent’s house.

Hello Guys did you manage to get this working? Does Heos automatically detect Chromecast when receiving a signal and change input to suit or do you have to manually change it? Id love to get this all automated so you can simply say Google play music on the AVR and Google does it all for you.
