Playing a youtube video in a Samsung (Tizen) tv youtube app

i have tried with media extractor but the error i get is unsupported media type

how to send it to the youtube tv app like the you tube app does from the phone

I would also like to know this if you figure it out. I also can’t use TTS on these TVs.

Also looking for the answer. Already tried: media_content_type: ‘video/youtube’ and many more, but no success.
I installed https://github.com/jaruba/ha-samsungtv-tizen with HACS and was able to start it with a media_content_type: browser, but it always open a new tab and its not in Youtube App.

I am truly sorry for the lack of responses recently, we have been hard at work merging the two most popular Samsung TV components into this one component. There is still much to do, but expect a greatly improved experience with the next major release.

This new release will have breaking config changes, but it will help us move forward towards a better Samsung TV experience for everyone.

So start getting excited, it will be worth the wait.

I’m looking for something just like this, has anyone got it working?

My use case is to automate when people are checking into our AirBNB and to play a video on loop or something of information on the property and what’s in the area etc.
