I’ve just updated HA Docker from 2024.4.1 to 2024.6.3, and now my audio alert scripts don’t work anymore. It seems the /usr/bin/ffplay binary has been removed from the container (ffprobe and the ffmpeg converter are still there).
Is there any easy way to get ffplay back without having to rebuild the whole container manually? Could the maintainers be convinced to put ffplay back into the docker template? I need some stable way to play an audio file to the host’s sound card for audio alerts, and HA doesn’t seem to offer any onboard facility for that.
