Please help with OAuth for Google Calendar

I’ve already read some post on some issues with Google Calendar, but I’ve no clue of how to proceed.
I’ve also already readed the guide https://home-assistant.io/components/calendar.google/ but seem that big G have changed some steps on obtaining OAuth keys.
I’ve registered my project on Google dev website and obtained my Client ID and Client Secret but when the guide on step 2 say “When it gets to the point of asking Which API are you using? just click cancel.” now this isn’t possibile to do and Google want to know other details… I’ve putted down some random choice but… obviously my keys wont’ work and I get an error like this:
Error: Invalid response 401. Error: invalid_client.
Please someone can post detailed instructions?

Bump! no one?

I have the exact same headache, hopes someone kind hearted can help.:mrs_claus:

I set this up just two days ago and the guide worked perfectly, so the current doc’s are still valid.
Although I was tired and had to double check multiple times that I was clicking the right buttons.

Something is wrong in the description above.
He says he already has the client id and secret which is obtained in step 8, but that he can’t click Cancel in step 2. This does not make sense ?

Yes I understand what he means. I too have no idea how to follow the instructions. First I get to create project, that’s fine, then go to credentials, after that there is a page where they ask for all the information, but no where to click cancel.

…isn’t the ‘Cancel’ button at the bottom of your image? Right under ‘2. Get your credentials’?

Edit: I followed the instructions and it worked for me. Click the ‘Cancel’ button that is under ‘2. Get Your credentials’, then under API & Services, click Credentials, then OAuth consent screen to follow the rest of instructions.

Oh you were so right, I totally missed that little gray thing! Too much Christmas (omg!!! Here spell checking corrected the intended word “glogg” wich is a swedish alcohol christmas drink to “flogging”!!! dies as all blood goes to the face) maybe.

I’m getting to the Credentials page, but I’m getting a non-terminating “processing” circle. Has anyone else seen this?
