Well, it was a long time ago and I got tired of waiting and bought a lamp
Why not post something useful, like a link to the device, what technology it is based on (Wifi? Zigbee? Bluetooth? Some proprietary hub? What open source projects may have developed python code for it? How you expect to be able use it in HA etc etc)

Xiaomi Mijia PIPI Desk Lamp: You can pet it and it has contactless gestures I think it works using wifi with mi application, because it asked my WiFi name
And what exactly are you hoping to automate? Turning it on and off? Controlling functionality?
Move it right left, up and down, and also light temperature
That’s a really unfortunate name for a german ear… “Pipi” is going for #1…

Watch this review of the lamp (it’s in German though). Hilarious, especially considering the unfortunate naming of the ‘pee lamp’ 
Technically, what is that thing supposed to be / do ? There isn’t even any AI in there ! It can replay preprogrammed movements and it does (bad) gesture recognition. That’s it. None of that needs any AI. What a useless gadget. Companies slap the ‘AI’ term on anything now, just to get a part of the hype share.
Oh and it has a camera watching the stuff you read and write on your desk and streaming everything to a Chinese server. Nice.
