Plex Media Player behind Double-NAT

Hi Guys,

I have a Plex server running behind a double NAT which is (as I assume) correctly configured. I can access it from my Phone, Browser and so on.

When I configured the Media Player in my Home Assistant it does not connect to the configured public IP but it tries to connect to the private IP. I think this IP is somewhere from the Plex server.

Does anyone have the same problem or am I doing something wrong?

I configured the plex.conf with the public IP and the accesstoken. And set the media_player platform ‘plex’,

I suspect that HA discovers your Plex on the network and registers the private IP address. Why would you need HA to go back out to a public address and then back in thru the router to talk to it?

Sorry, I did not mentioned that this is a non-local Plex server.
