My hassbian gives a messaga Enter de X plex token. So i entered the token, but it gives back invalid token. I have changed my password on plex, restarting but the token keeps the same. What went wrong. I cannot edit my configuration file as i don’t know where the config files are situated on the raspberry pi? I also dont know how to edit the configuration file.
Where did you get the token?
Configuration should be in:
/home/homeassistant/.homeassistant
Changing the password won’t change your token.
I’m having the same issues but I’ve had Plex set up for months. In the last couple of days the Plex Notificaion has been showing up and my token denied.
The plex config file called “plex.conf” located at /home/user_wher_you_installed_ha/.homeassistant/plex.conf
Note that .homeassistant is a hidden folder.
The config is very simple, something like:
{"1.1.1.1:32100": {"token": "akjdsfhkasdfh"}}
Which is: {“Plex_server_ip:port”: {“token”: “your_token”}
My directory is /home/homeassistant/.homeassistant
I have made the file plex.conf in the same directory as where groups and configuration.YAML is.
{“192.168.178.60:32400”: {“token”: “79zzM98vederfVdk7c4n”}}
But on the screen at homeassistant states configurator i see Configurator in white with at the right side configure in blue, Getting in the token here also gives error.
Underneath there is a blue box with insite Apple tv and of (i can change to on and off but the real state of my Apple tv4 does not change.
How do you get exactly the Plex token? I am not sure but for some reason I have a feeling that you are trying to insert a wrong token.
Are you getting it this way?: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/204059436
