Plex works but gives a lot of Red ERRORs [plexapi] http://CORRECT.IP.ADDRESS:32400: Client not found at http://CORRECT.IP.ADDRESS:32400

Plex works, it shows what’s playing in Home Assistant, I can play & pause, but my logs are constantly showing a lot of red, over & over, for Plex.

This snippet was taken at a different time from the screenshot, but the log is filled with the same things over & over.

I tried restarting, I tried removing Plex & re-adding it, but nothing has fixed it.
I’ve looked for a solution, but everything I find is completely different, being about the sensors being unavailable or about it having an error while setting up the platform.

I look at the console &, right now, it’s pages & pages of red, all the same things over & over, with a random spot of green every couple pages of red.

Any help would be appreciated. I’m at a complete loss.

I have manually removed each component, & everything that might be referencing it, then removed the integration, did 3 restarts, then re-added the integration. Most of the red is gone, but I still see "2022-08-06 23:06:28 ERROR (SyncWorker_1) [homeassistant.components.plex.server] Resource connection failed to plex.tv: Chrome" & I cannot think of what else to do

So it looks like I may have a solution. It appears to be working, I’m no longer seeing the Red, but I cannot be sure as I’ve gotten it down to just the 1 a while ago.

This post HERE mentions some similar problems, particularly of note is the URL with the inclusion of some kind of Token. The errors they are getting are different, [homeassistant.components.plex.server] plex.tv resource connection failed: Safari as opposed to [homeassistant.components.plex.server] Resource connection failed to plex.tv: Chrome but it sounds like the same meaning, just different order.
[plexapi] https://LOCAL-IP.9eREPEATED-STRINGdd.plex.direct:32400: list index out of range instead of [plexapi] https://192-168-#LAN-IP#.6f...SAME-STRING-I-BELIEVE-A-UNIQUE-KEY...4e.plex.direct:32400: Client not found at https://192-168-#LAN-IP#.6f...SAME-STRING-I-BELIEVE-A-UNIQUE-KEY...4e.plex.direct:32400 but being unable to find something I was trying whatever.

The OP posts a solution that came about by stumbling onto the Server’s NETWORK settings & discovering that Preferred network interface was set to Any while they had multiple NICs & were running through Docker. Now I only have 1 NIC, Only 1 option there aside from ANY, & not running Plex through docker, but a standard Windows instance.
Nevertheless I tried selecting the 1 NIC on the list of options instead of Any… Which didn’t work… BUT, after doing that, removing all of Plex from Home Assistant again, doing a couple restarts, then adding them back, & now it seems that I am getting no RED ERROR messages from Plex.

I would recommend to anyone having any kind of ERROR from Plex to try that simple change in Plex. It can’t hurt so long as you make sure you select a NIC that you are using, & it seems to make a difference to Home Assistant.

Well, that seemed to work… But it didn’t. I’m seeing Red again. Same as before.

Were you ever able to track this down? I’m getting line after line after line of this and my Home Assistant OS is crashing almost daily.

No. Unfortunately support for Home Assistant stuff is not great, I’ve kinda given up on a lot of it. It was fun when I had extra time during COVID, but now that I don’t when something stops working I don’t have hours to try to find a solution. If you really need to figure it out I’d suggest asking ChatGPT. Now, I can almost assure you that it won’t give you many, if any at all, correct solutions. But it has often given me enough to figure things out or find an actual usable answer. Best of luck
