Plugs cannot be integrated with Nortek

I have the Nortek USB Z-Wave/Zigbee stick and HA running on a Raspi5. The stick is recognized by HA and the Z-Wave and Zigbee app is also installed, but when I want to pair the plug and HA, nothing happens.

Which plugs?
Which Zwave integration are you running on HA?
How did you put the plugs in pairing mode?
Were those plugs paired elsewhere before?

Pushed the button tree times.

Yes on Homey but they wore deleted there and after that resetet.

Try factory reset.

Reset procedure will delete all information on the Z‐Wave network and Z‐Wave controller or
Z‐Wave Gateway, and restore the sensor to factory default settings.

  1. Make sure the sensor is powered.
  2. Press and hold the button more than 10 seconds until the LED blink with red color.
  3. Release the button

If you mean those: SKU: NEO_P02Z_PLUG (As you refuse to be specific), I can only say, I have some here and they do work. Not the favorites in my collection, but ok-ish…

edit: just to clarify: I’m based in the EU and use different zwave stick…

Didn’t help.

Can you actually tell whether the stick is approved for the USA or the EU?

As far as I know, it’s a US only product. But that is not based on facts, just a guess…

If that’s true then I’m not surprised that it doesn’t recognize EU plugs.

Not a guess, Z-Wave works on North-America frequency, so no good in Europe.

Do you have a tip for a Zigbee Stick?

No really, I don’t use Zigbee

(You likely know this already but) zigbee sticks are not regional specific.
I am using ZBDongle-P from sonoff for ~ 3 years now, and so far so good.
