PoE Camera with Zones

Hello,

I know there’s a million questions on cameras out there but, I still can’t find what I’m looking for. Currently I have a PoE Reolink camera pointed at our driveway. I wanted to be able to use it detect motion (specifically a car) and turn on the flood lights. The problem is it gets triggered all the time by branches/etc moving. I tried doing object detection with Frigate but it doesn’t work great at night when all it sees is headlights. Does anyone know if there’s any good PoE camera that could track movement between zones?

Use MotionEye and define a mask; it will use the mask to exclude areas in which motion is ignored.
It uses webhooks to trigger something in HA😉

Thank you! I didn’t know this existed. It looks like it only allows for one zone though right? My reolink allows me do do something similar, by ignoring certain areas, but I was hoping I could detect something moving from one zone to another. There are a few things obstructing the driveway and my girlfriends not going to let me rip her bushes out to make this work :slight_smile:

You should be able to block out the bushes. Then, movement in the others areas shoud trigger.

Exactly, instead of having multiple trigger zones it would be easier to just black out all the no-trigger zones instead.
