I am looking for a outdoor ready pool water temperature sensor. Currently I am using a Homematic temperature sensor, but that has poor wireless connectivity.
The sensor would sit in our surge tank.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Tank is closed metal thing ? Then any wireless signal will be challenging.
You could look at inkbird BT devices. There is a floating pool sensor or a small sensor that can have an external temp probe.
It is actually an underground plastic enclosure surrounded by concrete. I have a Homematic wireless switch in the technical equipment compartment right next to it that works fine, so I assume the signal of the temperature sensor is just not strong enough.
I bought a battery powered OWON zibgee sensor on https://www.domadoo.fr and so far it works wonderfully.
I have it inside a Tupperware plastic container within the skimmer, with the probe extended into the water.
I wasn’t expecting the SkyConnect to be able to pick it with so many walls in the way but it does!
I’m very happy with it.
