I am seeing the spikes as well.
As a test i have set all schedules to 00:00 with the temp being 15C.
Have set the temp manually to 5C and still see the spikes at different timestamps other than between 23:50-00:10

I have integrated that Thermostate via Z2M and i also see these sudden changes in target temperature setting and it is quite annoying…in some irregular intervals the target is set to extremely high values (that result in setting the value to the max of 30°) or to 0°
However without any intervention the value stays at those extremes…
I setup an automation that resets the values if extremes are detected, but its really annoying…
Muchas gracias !!!

Gracias a todos por su tiempo !!!
Thanks in advance , I have possibly a similar issue, using ZHA i dont see many entities the quirk seems to be loaded correctly but i dont see any additional entities. maybe temperature and state are what i should only see.
no way to change dead zone or adjust clock.
Also is it possible to deactivate the temperature sensor and use this only as a switch as i want to use secondary temp sensors.
Hi,
i have one BHT-006GBZB Moes Room Thermostat device.
i tried the soluction as per post #12 from @slickers , but am getting the follwoing:
Logger: homeassistant.config
Source: config.py:1335
First occurred: 11:26:09 AM (1 occurrences)
Last logged: 11:26:09 AM
Invalid config for 'zha' at configuration.yaml, line 94: not a directory for dictionary value 'zha->custom_quirks_path', got '/config/custom_zha_quirks/', please check the docs at https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/zha
i created the config/custom_zha_quirks at the same directory .homeassistant.
and at configuration.yaml i only inserted the
zha:
custom_quirks_path: /config/custom_zha_quirks/
Any advise? Thx in advance.
Thanks you so much! Should be integrated in zha
You need the quirks directory on the same level as the config.yaml file. So you dont need to create a new config directory.
solved all with zigbee2mqtt.
thx
Did you use this file name because it’s the same as the quirk in your device already? My device was previously paired to a SmartLife hub and has the quirk name shown below. I’ve tried naming the file as you suggest and also to match the existing quirk name but nothing seems to happen. Do you know if I need to change anything in the quirk file since the device _TZE200_aoclfnxz is slightly different to yours? How many entities are exposed when it works correctly - do you have more than what is shown below? Thanks and sorry for all the questions!
Hi - really sorry but I can’t remember.
I ended up switching the unit out for a WiFi controller which has ran without issues since.
I definitely used that name though as the file is still in the folder.
Ok, thanks for replying. I’ve added it back to SmartLife for the time being. Was noticing that the hardware itself wasn’t working properly when connected to HA. Might have to look for an alternative solution too.
You solved it by adding the quirks folder or could just go direct to mqtt?
gone directly to zigbee2mqtt.
Did you manage that without the MOES bridge or did you need to do that first?
Edit: Retried today and it worked straight away. Thanks
You retried with ZHA or zigbee2mqtt?
It was zigbee2mqtt that is working for me.
great glad to know it worked or you.
Hello, I have the same problem with the thermostat ZHT-006 and I installed the mentioned quirk, however it is not working for me. I cannot see the quirk installed at the bottom of the zigbee info for this device. I tried to reconfigure, restart and even re-pairing several times with no results. I don’t know if I can use any name for the file xxx.py and how this file is linked to that specific device. Can someone help me with that ? Thanks
