Porting old custom_ui code to Lovelace?

Hi everyone,

Would love to get this ported from older custom_ui code to work in Lovelace? Any pointers as to how to do that?

I’m a Python/C++/VB guy and not a javascript guy so need some pointers getting started.

If you figure this out please post the results here. I use the same custom UI for the fanspeed too and it would be great if we could end up with the same functionality in Lovelace.
