Possibility to use Tradfri sensor in HA as a sensor to trigger events

At the moment the IKEA Tradfri motion sensor will not show up as a sensor in HA so it’s not possible to use the sensor to trigger an action.
User @donnib already made some progressions with interfacing with this sensor. I hope it will be integrated into HA some time.

I would like to see this as well. Right now my tradfri sensor is detected in HA as [sensor.gangbewegingssensor] but the only variable-value (state) it has is battery%. So i can not detect an ON/OFF state from it.

What i do right now is detect if a lightbulb, which it paired with this sensor, goes on/off and use that in a automationrule to trigger an action.

Using the Ikea motion sensor as a trigger is already possible via zigbee2mqtt.
