Possible Network Error: iOS Companion App Gives 1001 Error, Unable to Discover Sonos

First time user, so I’m not sure what’s up. I seem to be having a networking issue but I’m out of my depth in solving it so any help is very appreciated!

Issues:

  • Companion app cannot find server
  • Server cannot discover some local devices
  • Local devices cannot connect to server

The companion iOS app cannot connect to my server, citing a 1001 error. I’ve tried http://192.168.x.x:8123, http://homeassistant.local:8123, and my Nebu Casa address.

I’m able to ping the main IP, but using nc -vz to ping port 8123 fails. Other devices on my network (computers and phones) cannot access the HA server via the local address or IP. The HomeKit integration is not loading into the Apple Home app successfully either.

The HA server also cannot auto-discover most devices on my network (Kasa, Sonos, Apple TV, and more). These are all running on the same network with no fancy networking setup.

IPv6 is off. IPv4 is on default. I’m really not sure what to check next!
