Possible to have HA turn Persistent Connection on/off?

As the title states, is it possible for HA to turn Persistent Connections on and off? I ask because my wife wants a ton of alerts for the cats we take care of outside. However, I do notice increased battery usage when its on. So I’d like to be able to turn it on when notifications get to 400.

Incidentally, while she gets a lot of Frigate notifications, it seems like 500 is more than she should be getting. I see a ‘recent notifications’ in the app itself, but is there a full list somewhere? Maybe I have a bug in one of my automations.

Settings > Companion App > Notification History

the history is kept indefinitely, you can also perform a search to narrow things down, on the previous page just below this button you should also see rate limit information
