Possible to use Frigate add-on only for motion alerts and notifications and not for recordings

I’m looking intoFrigate if it could be an addition for my system. I have some Dahua camera’s and Dahua NVR in use with few Tb disk for 24/7 recording. That is working ok. I even have some human recognition motion alert in place in the NVR and have HA sending snapshots to the Iphone.

So I do not need to record anything/ or want to record on the HA machine. But wondering if I can use Frigate only for the motion alert/detection part. And have notifications when specific motion detected? Anyone who has this setup at work? When I see the config.yaml it has a specific part dealing with recording… So that’s why I wondered if one could use this without the recording part? :slight_smile:

Yes, just use the config to disable recordings

Ah great! Might be a improvement for motion recognition, without detecting "cat’ at night :slight_smile:
