I have HAOS on an Odroid XU4 and I installed the Netatmo Smart Radiator Valve in my apartment. However, the company that installed them did not buy the Netatmo Thermostat (that acts as a hub) this one.
Do I need the Netatmo Thermostat (Hub) if I already have a SONOFF Zigbee USB dongle mounted on my Odroid?
don’t think so…the Netatmo Integration page flags the Integration as Cloud Polling which means it uses Netatmo’s Cloud to control the devices in HA…and you can’t get the Valves into the Netatmo Cloud without their Thermostat…
Hi, I m back here since I understood that my question was not well posed.
I think that I do not need the netatmo thermostat since I have a centralized heating system (I live in Italy and they are common). Therefore, I don’t have my radiators connected to a heat pump or any heater in general. My goal is just to “move” the netatmo smart radiator valves.
For this reason I think that I only need a netatmo hub. Could you confirm?
Do you know if by any chance I can replace the hub with a sonoff ZigBee hub (that I use already with my Home Assistant installation)?
Thanks in advance for any time you will use to read my question.
