Potential for KDE Connect Extension?

Hey all, after moving to GrapheneOS from the iPhone, there are some nice integrations around the house that I miss. For example, asking Siri a question and getting a response with more details sent to my iPhone, controlling music throughout the house on any device, or being able to send messages from my HomePod. I know that asking questions and getting answers back is easy enough to do with the OpenAI integration and the new Assist pipeline, and triggering other actions on mobile shouldn’t be too hard using the official app, but for the last bit of integration and to truly make everything feel like a cohesive ecosystem, it would be amazing if we had KDE Connect as an add-on or integration.

Imagine being able to send a text to your friend while cooking, or to ask about something on Wikipedia and have the link sent to your phone. You could also share the link to a song/YouTube video from your phone to the KDE Connect add-on, and have an automation in Home Assistant that would then begin playing it on whichever available media devices you choose. The possibilities are endless, and I would love to see this happen. I lack the knowledge and experience to do this, but I would be happy to financially contribute to this. Just a thought!

(As an aside, I see there was this PR to add a native KDE Connect integration, however sadly it appears to be abandoned. I wonder if it could be forked?)

It doesn’t look abandoned to me.

Accounts got mixed up for whatever reason, but I’m the OP. Scrolling down to the bottom of that GitHub PR, it looks like there’s been no action on this in over a year and a half, unless I’m missing something (which is likely, I’m not super familiar with GitHub).

I have same reading, the original guy that created the PR has given no life of sign since march 2022 so for now dead unhappy :frowning:

There are posts dated 8 August on that PR.
