Wyze is installed through HACS, and the hub is USB. Philips Hue is installed through the Integrations UI, and I’m lucky enough to have experienced two power outages this week, and I can say with 100% certainty that the IP address didn’t change for the Hue Bridge, and yet I still had to uninstall and reinstall this integration.
The “reinstall” option didn’t fix anything, so I had to completely uninstall both* before installing them again.
This is annoying for several reasons, but mostly that I then have to go and rename a bunch of Hue bulb entities.
*For Wyze, I’m not actually sure if it’s the reinstall that helps. Unplugging the USB hub and plugging it back in then rebooting HA seems to fix it, but I’ve yet to do this without the uninstall/install routine first.
Besides buying a big UPS for my computer, router, and hubs, any suggestions?
