Is there a way in HA to tap a switch to have a Powerwall export to the grid, regardless of current tariffs, time of day, or anything else?
In the Tesla app, I have the ‘export to grid’ option, but it’s tied to the utility rate plan. My challenge with this is that my energy provider (Amber in Australia) uses wholesale pricing and so my import price and export tariff fluctuate during the day, so one day the tariff at 4pm could be $0.02 and the next it could spike to $1.15.
The Tesla integration doesn’t seem to allow this – its only switch is for off-grid operation. I see that one of the community integrations (GitHub - alandtse/tesla: Tesla custom integration for Home Assistant. This requires a refresh token be generated by third-party apps to login.) has a switch for export rule, but as far as I can see (which might be wrong) that would be functionally equivalent to using the button in the Tesla app, which would have the issue with the utility rate plan above.
So… does anyone have a way to just tap a switch along the lines of ‘dump from the battery to the grid, no questions asked’?
