Presence Detection FritzBox/Mobile App

Hi Guys,
I just started with Home Assistant and I really like it. But I have trouble with setting up presence detection.

I have the following setup:

  • FritzBox
  • My iPhone (with HA mobile app)
  • My wife’s iPhone

I want to use only the FritzBox for device tracking and no gps from the mobile app. After integrating the FritzBox device tracker, this works fine for my wife’s iPhone. But for my phone it does not. I have the following issues:

  • My phone is not listed in known_devices.yml
  • device_tracker.myphone is always “Unknown”

I have the feeling that the FritzBox integration ignores my phone because it exists already through the mobile app. Do you have any ideas what I can do or what can be the reason for this behavior?

I found a solution for this:
I manually added my iPhone in known_devices.yml with a different name. With this change tracking through WiFil is working.
