Presence detection that can determine 'who' it is

Assuming that there is no reliable tech on the market in the IoT world that can not only tell you that someone is in the room and where they are located but can also tell you which individual it is - is there a demand here for that ability?

I know the Aqara FP2 can do some of this but it can’t identify that it is you or your partner or which child it is.

Do you have interest in this? What would you use it for?

BLE trackers are what most people use I would think.

The main use case I can think of is for personalised TTS messages when a particular person enters a room. Perhaps a morning schedule announcement.

Outside of tracking devices people carry you’re going to need cameras for facial recognition.
