Printing with CUPS

What do you mean? My question is, where to edit the hostname for the CUPS server.

I’m neither able to edit it from the configuration tab inside the addon settings nor can I add an addon which name would be hostname nor can I find the configuration file in the file system. Please offer a little more detailed solution.

Thank you
Benny

Hostnames for addon containers are autogenerated. I don’t think you can change it.

Worked for me as well. Except I had to deal with one issue. I worked with the URL http://homeassistant.local:631. But when I wanted to add a printer using the Administration tab, I got a message:

Upgrade Required

You must access this page using the URL https://[v1.fe80::8742:c4f2:c04c:f1ba+end0]:631/admin/.

So it told me to use https address. However, the IPv6 address was not quite right, I had to fix this by removing v1 at the beginning and +end0 the end. Then of course accept the self signed SSL certificate but then it all worked like a charm. I could logon with print/print as described. My old HP LaserJet connected via USB was detected and I could make a nice network printer out of it. Works like a charm.

Thanks zajac-grzegorz for providing this.
