I flashed a usb drive and used it for the install. Now my homeassistant won’t boot up unless I have that usb drive in. I’ve clearly missed something here. I have a core i5 system with 3x1TB hard drives and 32G of ram…hoping homeassistant develops an interactive install method in the future.
You flashed a USB drive for what? Linux?
If you are truely installing Core, then these are the directions which only need you to install Linux:
I flashed the usb drive with haos_generic-x86-64-11.4
You need to remove one of the drives and use a USB to SATA adapter to flash HAOS to that, then reinstall the drive and boot from it. Otherwise, you’ll have to have the USB drive installed to boot from.
gotcha! Thank you!!
So not Core as stated in the question.
Update: Oh. nevermind. hass
is to start Ha service.
I am install Homeassistant Core on a fresh install of rpi 3. I am on the last step and it is taking quite a long time. It is currently on the cloud setup and has been in this state for about an hour. Is this normal or have I goofed up somewhere??
(homeassistant) homeassistant@homeassistant:/srv/homeassistant $ hass
