I have an issue. Everything works fine until yesterday when I’ve added new devices (water leak sensors). After some time some of my Ikea pilots stop working. I finally (waiting very long minutes) create a map where indeed it’s visible that some pilots (and other stuff as well) are not connected.
remove added sensors but sutuation doesn’t change. how to fix it? what is wrong?
The new devices, what type? As it happens when you include them, they are the first thing to check.
Maybe nothing is wrong with the devices, however they might change the routing in the network if they do behave wrong.
I’ve removed all new added xiaomi wather leak sensors from the network. I am also not 100% sure it cause an issue just it was the one thing I did yesterday.
You zigbee mesh looks strong. The coordinator can reach most of the mains directly. What happens if you repair the switches that lost connection? Do they join again?
Have the mesh been stable for a period? If no, maybe you have interference from Wi-Fi or usb3 ports?
yes, it was stable. I have cable extension for conbee. If it’s going about wifi then I have mesh in my home as well so thought about interferences too. I’ll try to reconnect those end devices again. let’s see in a minutes.
when I remove all those devices and reconnect again- works fine. However wondering what happend and how to prevent loosing next hours from my life in the future…? how to debug and make sure that there are no interferences from wifi?
am I reaching maximum number of devices in the network maybe?
Your setup I standard Z2M, hence channel 11? Then you should use Wi-Fi channels 6 and 11. Do not use Wi-Fi channels 1-4, as they overlap the zigbee channel 11.
Remember a good long usb extender cable for en conbee. There are a lot of stuff in regards to interference if you search the forum.
You have space for a lot more devices. Each mains device can hold end devices, additional to the coordinator, until a max. You are fare from, if you search the forum I’m certain you can find people having 100 devices on Conbee. I have 87 devices, using a sonoff 3.0 dongle.
So, it must be something with the new devices. Placement or maybe they do not follow zigbee standard. I got some no-name dimmers at some point, creating problems. I ended throwing them out.
