Hello,
I have a problem with the botvac configuration. Both of my vacuums (connected and D5) are picked up and found by using the neato component but I can only start the connected using Home Assistant.
Both start and run using the app and the states are updated when running.
Any ideas?
I reset the D5 last night and tried renaming but still can’t get it to start via Home Assistant. Works fine in the app.
I can’t see anything neato related in the logs, i’m running 0.88.2.
Any help really appreciated!
It is really odd that you got this error in 0.88.2 because the issue that was reported on reddit & github was fixed by a recent code change, but that fix was only for changes found in 0.89
I think that this was also related to the mapping feature in the neato app.
I didn’t have maps user enabled in the app but once I enabled that feature for the D5 it worked, not sure why!
Yea that is because if your botvac supports map ID’s, we look to grab but it was failing for that. Now that you have a 1 map it no longer errors. The errors others were experiencing was due to their botvac models not supporting maps at all, now we need to consider the users who never created a map on a supported device.
