Problem with deconz? I don´t know where to start to search for problems…

Some days after I updated to 2023.6.1 I started to notice that light stopped to work it was a long delay before the turned on or off when I changed them and the automations stopped to work. Then I went back to 2023.5.x, fixed some small things in the configuration file, and updated again to 2023.6 and it worked until a week after I updated to 2023.7.1. Then the same thing happened again.

Some lights and switches are connected and loose connection all the time, some are unavailable all the time.
Seeing the mesh then it seems like the mesh is really bad, since many do not have any connection. But the majority of the Aqauara sensors still work even if the connection is not there according to deconz.

When I see in the app it appears like light are on or off, and I can change state of them the lights themself do not turn on or off.

Here all light are on, but it shows that they are off, and all switches are connected.

I have a RPi4 (2023.7.3) with a ConBee II
Lights and switches are from Philips, Aquara and IKEA
Sensors are from IKEA and Aquara
I do have separated channels on 2,4 between WiFi and ConBee

So, where can I start to look to find the problem?
Is it SW or HW problem? I do not know where to start…

Some time ago i had similar issues with individual devices becoming unavailable (though it was not related to specific HA version). Something that worked for me:

  • in deconz go to panels and enable source routing panel
  • in source routing panel enable source routing, set maxinum hops to 5 or less and maximum LQI to 150 or more
    With settings as above all of my deconz problems went away forever.

I have the exact same problem. No switches work. Aqara and Ikea sensors do work. Only lights added through Hue gateway work. Some lights added through deconz look as if they are working but nothing happens when toggling on or off. Oh, and I am also in Sweden :slightly_smiling_face:

Ok, I found out what the problem was in my case. I recently got a Pi 4 with an external hdd on USB3 which knocked out not only the Conbee, but also the 2.4ghz wifi. I guess it’s a longshot and something else causing your problems though.

Hm, I’m running my Pi4 with a ssd in one of the USB ports instead of using a MicroSD card.

I see! Then that is maybe the culprit. Try putting the ssd in a USB2 port instead (if you havent already) or you can try and put a ferrite clamp on the usb cable (close to the pi).
