im new to HA and wantet to add my power consumption to my HA. Unfortunately i have a LOGAREX LK13BE 8030x9 and it seems that i can not use this LED because it is not IR.
The other option is, to use the optical control unit. But how does this work? I installed HA on my Synology NAS using Virtual Machine Manager.

After some time i found a solution. i used these 2 videos to get it work. I only needed a ESP8266 and a TTL IR lesekopf lese-schreib-Kopf EHZ Volkszähler Hichi Smartmeter
The first video to get the hardware ready. The last video to get the data from the smart meter to home assistant.
Is there no direct way? so I’ve to put an ESP in between? I can get all values from cli
