Problems logging in to HA when network is down

So I have configured my HA with DuckDNS and have the following configuration in my YAML.

http:
  ssl_certificate: /ssl/fullchain.pem
  ssl_key: /ssl/privkey.pem
  base_url: *redatcted*.duckdns.org:8123

Issue I am having now is that I lost connectivity last week and could no lo longer login with https://redacted.duckdns.org:8123/lovelace/default_view.

I tried Hassio:8123 , 192.168.0.63:8123 and could not get in but could ping the HA.

As soon as I reset my modem I was able to login in again.

Regards,

Is this a late April fools ?

Why would you say that when I am locked out with no LOCAL access?

Your topic title says “Problems logging in to HA when network is down” and you ask why you can’t log in ?
That’s a bit like saying the lake dried up but I can’t sail my boat.
You mentioned you can’t log in with no local access.
This is also quite normal when you follow certain tutorials that require you to use SSL over a non SSL port (https defaults to 443) however without setting rules when you enable SSL HA will ‘expect’ an SSL certificate and the certificate you generated will be for the duckdns address, not the local address.
This is why I thought it was a late April fools.

I take it that you have just done this (but neglected to say) ?

I also take it that you’d like to have both local (eg 192.168.0.200:8123) access and remote (eg mydomain.duckdns.org (note: no port required)) access ?

Nothing about your post indicates that’s what you want or the problem you were facing.

Yes I would like local access as well.

Unless you reply to my post, I don’t get a notification. If you reply to the thread, then only the OP (Original Poster, You !) get the notification, but as you made the post…

Search for “Mutt duck”, I think it’s post 27 in that thread
