Problems with media player and emulated hue

I added my AVR (Marantz NR1710) to Alexa using the emulated hue integration and it partly works. I can turn it on and off, but if I try to change the volume (which ofc is brightness in the emulated hue), Alexa tells me the device is malfunctioning. It still seem to change the volume in HA though. Any ideas what is the problem and how I can fix this?

Follow question: is there any other way I can detect that Alexa is playing music and trigger on that in HA and set up my receiver from HA instead?

I don’t know why, but Alexa stopped complaining about my device and now it works. Still can’t detect when it’s playing music though, so I can’t automatically setup my AVR. Any suggestions on this?
