Profile settings are not saved to user account

It’d be really nice if the settings I set when logged in would save to my account on my server, so if I log into another browser, I wouldn’t have to re-set up my settings. This is mainly for dark mode. If I have to log in with incognito on occasion, I wish it would just load it in dark mode. Another example: I have a user I use for a tablet dashboard. I wish I could set the settings on that user account to always hide the sidebar, set the default home page, and set it to use dark mode. I had to re-set up a tablet today, and it would have been really nice to not have to change those settings.

WTH: Why most settings are browser instance dependant

It’s one of the WTH features I found in HA. I know no other software which doesn’t offer user preferences settings saved for a user but instead offers to store it per browser. If I want to change some settings like theme, language, units, items in side-bar etc I have to set it up in every end-user application on every computer my HA is in-use. A multi-user environment obviously requires access to personal end-user devices which in general is considered unwanted. To summarize: I would like the…
