Which projectors and receivers work the nicest with Home Assistant? I want IP control for the projector so that I don’t have to mess around with IR.
Most projectors have an API for network control. With that you can control all IP controllable units. JVC has an integration(maybe it’s third party) and I know Panasonic is controllable.
Onkyo receivers were working in May. Kids spilled water in mine and HDMI board went out on other so I haven’t used this integration since 2022.5 or so
On a side note Roku works well
I have all connected via HDMI so I use roku for volume and power control. Then I used onkyo for input but I never change from Roku so not needed for me
I think projectors with CrestronLink or whatever that’s called will have api controllable by HA.
+1 for Denon. Denon and onKyo are great
I use both Epson and Denon in my setup.
As a side note, I have owned 4 Denon receivers over the the last 30 years. One was bought used 25 years ago, the other 3 were bought new. All 4 are still working to this day. The only reason I have had to upgrade was to get additional features. I bought a $1000 Sony amp at one point it lasted 2 years.
