Purelle Smart Air Purifier (AP2) via HomeKit integration - help!

Hi dear people. i am still relatively new to the HA universe, but learning new things every day.
I bought the Purelle Smart Air Purifier (AP2) from Sleekpoint Innovations (Purelle Smart Air Purifier (AP2) - Apple HomeKit Compatible – AIRVERSA) because it communicates with Apple HomeKit via Thread. This seemed like a pretty safe bet in terms of HA. I get the device integrated via the official app Sleekpoint as well as via Apple Home and can operate it via that. However, when I connect the device via HomeKit integration in HA I only get the following entities:

  • sensor.airversa_air_quality
  • sensor.airversa_pm2_5_density
  • button.airversa_identify
  • sensor.airversa_thread_capabilities
  • sensor.airversa_thread_status
  • sensor.airversa_signal_strength

So far quite nice, but I can’t even get the device to turn on! A corresponding entity is missing. It would not be usable at all under HA. Do you have any ideas how I can usefully integrate the device into HA to at least switch it on and off? That must work somehow, if it also works via Apple Home.
Thanks for your help!

Hey there, did you ever get this figured out? I have two of these as well as the humidifier. I would like to add these to HA but want to make sure I can automate the humidifier to automatically kick on when it’s sensor reaches a certain number.

Hi.
With current version of HASS 2024.1.1 i cant even pair Airversa into homeassistant. Dont you guys have Homekit Device problem with message - Device is already paired with another controller?

I’m having exacly the same issue. No chance to turn it on. Pairing goes OK tho.

I finally was able to get the device to pair: I pressed and held the “power” button actually to reset the device and enter pairing mode, only then did it work. I could never get it to cooperate by pressing the network button to enter pairing mode, hence why on a whim I pressed and held the power instead to see if it did anything helpful.

Got this answer from official support:

I think this may be due to the fact that Home Assistant’s integration does not support all Homekit characteristics. But Since we currently do not have plans to release the integration to HACS, perhaps you can file a request with the author of the Homekit integration?

Update.
Purifier is now exposed as fan for me. It is possible to change levels, turn on/off purifier.

Hi, would you please have some step-by-step recommendations of how to add it to HA? I only see the device in HA to be added once I remove it from HomeKit but if I try to add the pairing code, it tells me it is registered with another app… Once I do reset or pairing on device only, I do not see the option to add the device in HA  Thank you, M

It is actually possible to connect your Purelle to Homekit integration , via thread .
Make sure that When you add a device for the first time, It usually tends to take a little extra time -10-15 minutes. Once it gets connected to the Thread Network, It can connect Airversa Purelle to Homekit easily.
Network option should be turned on - as in Press Hold the Network button on the touch panel.
Release Once you hear 3 beeps, meaning you have entered the Pairing mode. You can also control with siri and turn it on/off .

Can you please elaborate on this. I just received this unit and have not even been able to pair it with regular HomeKit, it keeps saying decide will not work with HomeKit .

Since it is not natively homekit compatible ,you are seeing it as not work with homekit .But with Thread - border router or
home hub -you can make the integration possible .Or use the Sleekpoint app .You can see through this attached guide there on my previous comment .

Can someone PLEASE write out some clear steps for how to get the device showing up in HOMEASSISTANT. I am only able to add it to the Apple Home app when I use Sleekpoint to register the device. If I reset the air purifier with the network button or holding the power button, it still doesn’t show up in HomeAssistant.

If I remove the device from Apple Home, then it immediately shows in HomeAssistant’s notifications panel but registering it says “this device is already registered somewhere else”

Thanks

have the same exact problem!! but nobody seems to care :frowning:

have the same exact problem!! but nobody seems to care :frowning:

  1. Remove Airversa connection from Sleekpoint and AppleHome.
  2. Press and hold the power icon/button on the cleaner until a sound is heard and then the Threed icon flashes.
  3. In the HA settings add Apple Device Integration / HomeKit Devices where the purifier will then appear where you need to enter the 8-digit code in the form XXX-XX-XXX as written in the description.
  4. Even if you happen to get an error try calling it again, for me it ran on the 5th try.
  5. I hope this helped you and it works for you
