Purple Air error

Hello,

When trying to setup the Purple Air integration, I’m able to setup my API keys, but when I go to search for a sensor it comes back with “Unknown Error”. I’ve tried various long/lats with various amounts of precision, as well as different search radius settings - all the same. Anyone else having this issue?

I am having this issue as well did you ever get it figured out?

I didn’t unfortunately :frowning:

I was able to figure it out. You need to add points from your organization to your project when you create the project. You start off with 1 million points. If you add them all it doesn’t seem to work. So I added 500000 and it has been working well for the last few days.

Hopefully it’s ok to revive this relevant topic. I am running into the same unknown error issues when trying to add the integration. In the logs it shows the errors about Payment is required to make this api call.

But I have invested $10 for 2M “points” for my API key and it still shows the same error on HA.

It’s trying though, this is what shows up on the PurpleAir desktop dashboard:

Any thoughts?

OMG figured it out. Go to the PA dashboard and click on Projects. Then click on your project and “add” the points you have in your account to the project. Fixed it for me.

This was also the issue for me - my “organization” had 900k points but I had to go in and assign them to my project.

Unfortunately I get an error when trying to integrate Purple Air into HA and checking my API points on the PA API site shows I’ve used them all up. Looks like an API call from an air quality app on another device I have (Tidbyt LED display) went rogue recently has used all my points up over a few days! I’ll have to buy more but I’ll need to be sure the Tidbyt app isn’t going to be greedy again.
