Push my automation.yaml file to a gist

Anyone have a way (could be terminal CLI, I’m ok with that) to push a specific file to a GitHub gist.

I have my automation.yaml in a private GitHub gist but I’ve been copy/pasting the contents. As it grows, it’s taking some time to do that and it would be easier if I just had a single command I could run to push a file up to GitHub gist.

Alternatively, should I just turn my whole /config into a git repo?

Hi ajma,

I have followed ‘Bearded Tinkerer’s’ You Tube videos, there are 2 videos, about pushing your stuff into a git repo. It works well for me.
Bearded is a part of the HA contributors network, so he is well known in the community.

I have these videos saved in my Contributors playlist.
