QNAP NAS Docker, USB Help

So I’ve gotten Home Assistant 2022.11.5 up and running in Docker on my QNAP TS-251+ NAS w/ 8Gb of RAM. It has successfully added my WiFi devices like MyQ, but it is not picking up either the Aeotec USB ZStick Gen 5+ and Sonoff Zigbee 3.0. Is there an easy reference to help get these devices added? I made sure that the USB ports are enabled in QNAP, but still a no show in HA.

Thanks in advance, from one of the last Wink subscribers trying to make the switch.

A basic question, so with the Synology I first have to release the devices as USB devices with the VMM, so it will probably be the same with Docker. Then you have to install the required software, the Zigbee and the Zwave software. Have a look under hardware in HA whether the devices were recognized and which port the devices use, because you need the information to set up the software. If you have any questions just let us know.

Still struggling. I went to Container Station and added ACM USB modems (166) under Container Settings, Advance Settings, Device along with TTY (4), neither have generated the USB connection of the ZWave & Zigbee USB sticks :(.

Could it be the cable? As far as I know and have read, HA does not have any devinitive Docker support either. So all in all a bit difficult. As already written before, if you don’t find the two devices under HA hardware, it won’t work either.

I will drop back to a direct connection of the two USB stick into the NAS. I am using a cable, which worked fine in a PC laptop, but worth a shot.

Bought a ChromeBox and re-flashed it to HA OS. Whole new set of variables, but at least the ZWave and Sonoff USB sticks are now showing.
