On my QNAP NAS, I have the option checked that requires users to change their password every 90 days for security reasons. As It’s not possible to set this by user, all users are affected, incl. the one I set up for the Home Assistant integration.
This however is causing a lot of trouble since the HA integration has no settings where the password can be updated. Therefore, I need to remove and add back my NAS every 90 days, causing a loss of data and requires me to change the entities in my dashboards which is very inconvenient.
It’d be great if
- the integration would show an error if it cannot sign in to the NAS (currently it doesn’t - only way to know there’s an error is to log in to the NAS’ web interface)
- provide the ability to change the user password in the settings
