I was curious if anyone has been able to get this to run on a QNAP TS-231. If it does work for device, I would appreciate any guidance on getting this to work.
-Thanks

Hello mate,
I tried for a while on a Qnap TS-215 and gave up. I opted to use a Raspberry Pi which was so much better and easier to setup using the All in One Installer. Personally I wouldn’t waste your time. You will have much more fun wit a RP
Cheers
Mike
This might be the push I need to look into getting a Raspberry Pi.
Of course the wife will probably prefer me not spending any more money at the moment. LOL
I was semi-successful on installing HA on TS-269 Pro
The starting point was a very well written custom qpkg that included HASS as well as entware-ng for supplements.
The tricky part for me was to get Z-wave going. I still need to come up with robust solution for it.
It does require messing around to upgrade python version to 3.5 for HASS virtual environment and getting all required pre-requisites.
Raspberry Pi is better and more simple, but have a little problem.
My advice is to configure Raspberry Pi, from the beginning, with the installation on a hard disk or SSD.
If you install on the memory disk, it will be death about a year of use, is to many R/W operations.
