Question: Is it possible to adjust UI but still get auto-add?

Hello everyone,
I am completely new to HA and despite enjoying it, I am still struggling with a few things.

I am starting to get a hang of the basics but now e.g. I would like to play around with the Overview, so with Lovelace. Right now it is still the original automatic mode. But if I enable manual editing, will I be able to keep the auto-add activated somehow? I would like all configurations to automatically show up just the way they have so far.

Background: I want to add a configuration that requires me to adjust the ui-lovelace.yaml, but I do not have one. I guess this won’t show until I activated manual editing of the Overview/UI?

You can add Dashboards for editing with UI or yaml and also auto generated.

If you want to edit manually, you can alternatively - if you are using HACS - apply auto-entities.
