Question on Cloudflared connecting internal vs external on companion app

Hi all,
I’ve been pulling my hair quite abit for this problem, I have my HA on RPi4 configured to use cloudflared tunnel with https://home-assitant.domain.com > https://home-assitant.domain.com:8123.

On the companion app, that’s what I put too https://home-assitant.domain.com.
It works perfect when I’m connecting from external (On cellular data).

The problem here is when I’m connect from internally, it just won’t work if I dont specify the port ( https://home-assitant.domain.com instead of https://home-assitant.domain.com:8123).
It will just throw me

This site can’t be reached
home-assitant.domain.com refused to connect.
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

I’ve tried to use Nginx Proxy Manager to reverse proxy / redirect but no luck :frowning: .

Sooo… Can anyone shed some light on what did I do wrong? or What should I look into to make it work?

My AddOn:

Thank you in advance!!

I had this same issue. I think my nat loopback was trying to bypass cloudflare and it was failing to connect. I didn’t want to start disabling nat loopback though and kinda gave up and reverted as I got too busy with work. Might try again.

Do you have hairpin nat (nat loopback)? and I didn’t use that addon. I was configuring it myself with nginx…

Hey Rob! Not a networking pro so I doubt I have a NAT Loopback… Nginx kinda not working for me as Cloudflared seems to make that not working. So… im out of clue :frowning:
