Good day, I am considering acquiring some Eve devices for my home assistant deployment. I see that in the past that the method was to connect to homekit, then unpair(leaving the eve devices connected to the internet). However looking at their site now I see they have a much stronger focus on their own app. For example, the motion sensor I am considering getting has documentation(https://www.evehome.com/sites/default/files/inline-files/Eve_Motion_QSG_EN_DE_FR_51EAK9904_0.pdf) for setting up the motion sensor that does not involve using homekit, only the eve app.
I reviewed another community post here, but still not sure what the current state of Eve devices are: Howto configure HomeKit Controller to detect Elgato Eve Motion or Switch?
Would anyone be able to weigh in on the current state of Eve devices as of May 2022? Thank you!
