Radio Station : Hassio play_media service vs VLC

Hi there all,
I have a little doubt about the slow cast service in Hassio.

I test a radio station using play_media service and from there to a Google Home cast case.
So that radio station begin to play after aprox 9-12 secs.
Then I paste same radio URL in the VLC program under my windows PC
…here in less than a second the radio begin to play.

So I just want to ask, can I set something in order to speed up Hassio please ?
Can be because of google service is slow ?

Nobody have an idea ?
Or… can anybody tell me how many seconds in order to play a radio station on google home please ?

Hi,

I don’t have an idea. The same happens to me in HA. Asking Google directly to play a radio is faster (about 1 second) but using HA takes more time. If I try to play a radio I played before it is taking about 5 seconds and a new station takes 20 to 30 seconds.

What I understand is that the HA cast have about 20-30 sec buffer
Cause when I play, VLC on my PC is about 20-30 sec forward in comparison to the HA cast.

Maybe there is possibility to change this buffer and have the sound with less delay .
