Random Zigbee Switchs Keep turning off

Hi Team,

Looking for advice on where to start looking to fix my issue.

I run Z2MQTT with a bunch of Zigbee light switches and recently added PowerPoints. (Mercator Ikuu)

Since installing the power points, random powerpoints just turn off during the day or night. Its not frequent maybe once every day or two.

I’m frustrated as sometimes it turns my internet power point off and sometimes my NVR.

Thoughts on where I should start looking to figure out how and why this is happening?

I know I can add an automation to track if those two power points keep turning off, but I would rather fix the problem.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Hi Stephan, have a look at this extensive guide regarding zigbee: Zigbee networks: how to guide for avoiding interference + optimize using Zigbee Router devices (repeaters/extenders) to get a stable mesh network with best possible range and coverage

I have some bad news for you. Seems those Mercator Ikuu sockets are rebadged Tuya TS011F devices. They are notorious for switching off by themselves due to the built in over/under voltage protection.

There’s a huge thread over on Z2M github about this issue with no real solution unfortunately. You might want to try to check for firmware updates on your devices and/or calibrate the voltage, energy, current & power via Z2M just in case it helps.

I wouldn’t have high hopes though, so your best bet is to either return them or, at the very least, use them for non-critical devices.
