Rasberry pi4 installation

Hello Guys, so I received my Raspberry pi4 today and tried all day to install, here is what I done:
1: download haos_rpi4-64-7.4.img.xz.
2: Flash a drive with Balena
3: Plug the drive to raspberry, lan cable and power
4: wait around 1 hour
5: plug my Mac to the lan and open safari
6: type on my MacBook both http://homeassistant:8123/ and also try with http://homeassistant.local:8123/
7: nothing happen even after 10 minutes
8 check on both iPhone (find) or my server on safari, cannot find the device also.

Can you please help ?
thank you very much and have a nice day

Update : as asked by BeardedConti, I also tried http://X.X.X.X:8123 with all IP address I found on my server.
Led lights on Raspberry : Red fixed and Green flashing almost every second

if I type http://homeassistant.local:8123, seems it takes a very long time to charge the page ( more than 60 minutes)

Well, I try to install again but nothing, cannot connect to Raspberry :frowning:

You write “drive”. Do you mean an SSD drive connected using USB? If so, did you verify that the Raspberry pi boot loader can boot from a USB drive?

Sorry, when i wrote « drive » i mean Micro SD Drive. By the way this is first time i use this kind of device, do we also need to install SSH and OS? Or is it included in the OS pack i have downloaded? I’m confuse…

Hello, I plug my raspberry to my tv, here is what I get,!and after the 01:30 minutes it started and then get a black screen

Anyone can help please? Don’t know what to, I already made installation process 3 times :frowning:

Does the black screen show anything?
Like http://homeassistant.local:8123 or ip adress?

For info yesterday I could finally login and, this morning cannot again! Here is a,copy screen that shows that the raspberry seems to have started correctly
Thank,you for;your help

I,tried both address without success, seems to be very instable as yesterday I could log and today nothing again :frowning:

I do not have ip fix, it is dynamic

That screen shot with IP addresses says to me it is not connected to your network. If it is connected to your network there will be an IP address after etho:

Check the cable is connected and the leds by the socket are flashing

Sorry was not the correct screen shot. I just want to show that ip are not static. They the led are flashing. But cannot find the raspberry on the server.
I would like to add it but I do not know the ip adress also :frowning:
Yesterday was working properly, with same cable etc… I did not change anything and my internet is working ( I just try the cable on my Mac and it is working)

I meant the screen capture from the RPi not the router. For some reason you network is not loading/connecting on the pi. Have you tried to reboot the router?

Hello, I,just try to reboot but nothing happen. I;bought,a;keyboard, maybe,I can type some line command about network testing as my raspberry is connected on my tv ?

As ther are saying … seems like you dont have any internet conection…you should see the IP adress after Wlan0 or Eth0 like this

So just plug in internett cable and you are on yor way

Hello BMK, as I wrote, my cable was well connected and I tested the connection with my Mac, was working…now I understand what happen, in the mean time electrician came and unplugged some lan cable to install CCTV than I forgot to check he plugged back all cables…my fault  so now it is back to normal I can try to do my first setup/test with HA :-))) thank you !

Glad it was a simple issue even if it took a while to find. Hope the configuration is a little easier.
